Description
Summary:Abstract The use of chemical dye is used to clear dirty water or waste water containing the textile dye or other pigment. In this final task performed using a coagulant Fe2+ scrap iron base material to separate colored textile dye from aqueous remazol. In the experiment determined the absorption capacity as a coagulant metal scrap and raw material compared with crystals of FeSO4.7H2O coagulant laboratory. Scrap iron dissolved in sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid, dye separation process by which dissolved Fe2+ precipitated as Fe(OH)2 which can absorb the dye on the surface sediment. Once settled, the solution separated. FeSO4.7H2O absorption capacity for dye 2.736 (g) / iron (g), FeSO4 dissolved with sulfuric acid for dye 4.8859 (g) / iron (g), and FeSO4 dissolved with hydrochloric acid of 4.7083 dye (g) / iron (g).
