Based on data from the National Electricity Supply Plan (RUPTL) for 2012-2021, PLN projects electricity consumption in the country in 2020 to reach 358 TWh with a peak load of around 61.750 MW. PLN plans to develop a power plant using renewable energy with a capacity of 12.126 Megawatts (MW) in the 2012-2021 period. One of the planned plants is the Minihidro Power Plant in Humbang Hasundutan Regency, North Sumatra Province which has a watershed covering an area of 189,32 km2. The process carried out is related to hydrology, hydraulics, and stability analysis using secondary data. Aek Sibundong PLTM is planned to stem the Aek Sibundong River which has a reliable discharge value of Q40-Q95 of 9,06 m3/second. With the elevation difference in the study area of 82.5 m, and using the total efficiency value of turbines and generators of 78,45%, the construction of the Aek Sibundong MHP is planned to produce theoretical power of 5,76 MW. text
