Description
Summary:Increased need for water ride for missions like inspection refinery offshore, bridge construction, and any others research under the sea, movie industry, and opening market recreation for water ride like ROV that can help the users and engineer in order to fulfill the needed and doing research. To run the missions for those things it's needed propulsion system (thruster ROV). In the development of Thruster, hydrodynamics achievment and compatiblity of market target needed becoming the deciding element of success. In this final submition are disscused the steps to create thruster for ROV, started from formulate DRO, Aerodynamic Characteristic Airfoil research (the effect of the airfoil shape to coefficient CI/Cd), design fan parameter research that produced geometry using the design method and axial fan analysis with Excel that got 3 designs. CAD and ANSYS Fluent together with RANS using K-Epilson turbulent model. Beside those things, I did propeller charactersitic research in advance ratio. Based on thruster power appraisal, and DRO created by thruster with diameter hub 30mm and diamter outside 60mm. The pushing power that created is 34,5N with 161 watt power needed and already higher from thuruster performance in the class. This design expected could pass the test and could enter the market.
