Summary: | Adiwiyata is a program for sustainable development education from The Ministry of Environment Indonesia, according to the Adiwiyata school guide from the Ministry of Environment Indonesia (2013). One of the Adiwiyata certified school in Bandung, SDN 001 Merdeka had a concerning issue of the abundance of plastic waste in the school, school as it is found that within the school, the students can’t seem to separate their waste and often the plastic waste is found outside of the trash bin and in the corridor way. The Adiwiyata facility design that supposed to support the students to behave more environmentally friendly is to be questioned. The objective to this research is to evaluate the corridor that have trash bin and poster as Adiwiyata facility, and about plastic waste management in SDN 001 Merdeka, using comparative method with qualitative approach and based on 6 Indonesian regulations in the perspective of design for sustainable behavior model by Lidman and Renstrom (2011). The result of evaluation to this research is that the Adiwiyata facilities for plastic waste management in SDN 001 Merdeka were not effective in their usage, and the facilities were highly influenced by several factors found from the design for sustainable behavior aspect, from the user’s in control factors with its connection with the design of the facility factors. |
