In recent years there has been a growing trend among young people. The coffee market is expected to continue to grow in the next few years and there will be a greater variety of coffee drinks available on the market. These trends are followed by the variety of coffee drinks and the way they are consumed. One of the coffee variants that exist but is still new among coffee drinkers is cold brew concentrated coffee. Cold-brewed coffee is usually served with iced drinks, cold water, or milk but also can be served with hot water, the taste it depends on the composition of the blended coffee. This shows the flexibility of the coffee concentrate product. Mosey Company intends to participate in competing in the coffee market by serving concentrated coffee variants. Mosey was formed in 2019 and wants to introduce this concentrated coffee to coffee drinkers. Because the concentrated coffee market in Indonesia is not too big, the challenge Mosey is experiencing is market education. Introducing coffee concentrate products to a wide audience is a big challenge, but there are quite a few enthusiasts in the early stages of this business. However, due to inadequate business management, many customer demands cannot be fulfilled. The problem is in the product manufacturing section where this problem starts from the wrong calculation and execution of capacity and a shortage of production materials because there is no consideration of safe stock in this company. To find alternative solutions to problems in the manufacturing division, This Study will calculate the effective capacity of several cases, the first case is if this company can optimize existing resources. The second case is if this ii company wants to achieve the desired sales target, and the third case is if this company wants to expand the coffee market by considering the market potential. To adjust the flow pattern of production materials, This Study will calculate the safety stock and reorder points of each case to find out possible solutions to be applied in this company. Finally, This Study wants to know the target profit that will be obtained from each case to be considered by the business owner from the side of his savings. Thus, this study aims to find possible solutions to be applied by business people as consideration for stopping this business forever or starting again with previous considerations. text |
