Summary: | A disaster involving a hazardous chemical gas leak is a dangerous occurrence.
Therefore, assigning officer to map the condition of the scene is unethical, and
dangerous for the officer. Recent technological developments provide an option in
mapping the condition of the scene, namely with several unmanned vehicles
capable of mapping both in the air and on the ground. For that we need a
coordination system between umanned vehicles, to map gas at a synchronous
position and time, but at different heights. In the coordination system between
unmanned devices, the development of a synchronization system for reading
mapping data is very important, especially to ensure that the data taken by each
device has a synchronous time. The development is carried out by designing and
implementing 3 subsystems, a time synchronizer as synchronization of time data
between devices, a serial data receiver as a synchronization of retrieval of
hazardous chemical gas sensor data between devices, and a data linker as a
synchronization of linking position data and gas measurement data between the
umanned vehicles. The conclusion from this document is that the synchronization
system for reading hazardous chemical gas data has been implemented properly
but some parts sometimes result in asynchronous time data delays. This is due to
the distance of the vehicle in the network, as well as the delay from the network that
the mapping data reading synchronization system uses. |
