Description
Summary:Construction is one sector that has a high level of risk of work accidents. The main causes of high work accidents in construction projects are closely related to the unique project characteristics, work location, weather conditions, execution time, use of heavy equipment, and a large number of workers. Work accidents in the construction sector have recently become a concern for all parties, because they can cause very large losses, ranging from material, equipment, and cost losses, low work productivity, and even fatalities. Every resource involved in a construction project has the right to be guaranteed safety and health. The magnitude of the demand for zero accidents in a project, the project implementer demands to be able to apply the K3 culture so that the development process can be carried out properly. K3 culture is the attitude of a group/organization that is committed to believing that health and safety is a very important aspect to be a concern in managing a job. Risk is an uncertainty that will occur in the future. Risk Management is a system that includes the process of risk planning, identification, analysis, response, and risk control. Based on the results of the study found as many as 144 identified hazard variables, where Falling from a height is a source of danger with the highest percentage (17.36 %). Where there are 4 greatest potential risks from Erection Girder work, namely Falling from a Height, Crane Overturning, Girder Beam Collising Other Components, and Being Overwhelmed by Girder Beam Material. For this reason, the control process is carried out using Job Safety Analysis (JSA). Carry out a form of control by means of Technical Engineering, Administrative, to the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) properly.
