The fulfillment of national energy must be increased due to the increasing demand for electrical energy every year. Therefore, the Government of Indonesia is accelerating the use of New Renewable Energy (NRE) and making plans for the development of electricity, one of which is a hydroelectric power plant. Gorontalo Province is one of the areas included in the development plan. The Bone-1 Mini-hydro Power Plant (MHPP) is planned in Poduwoma Village, Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo Province. PLTM Bone-1 is a power plant with a reservoir type in the form of a dam. PLTM Bone-1 has a watershed area of 1,000.934 km2. The PLTM Bone-1 consists of the main building and auxiliary buildings, namely cofferdam I, cofferdam II, main dam body, intake building, penstock, turbine, power house, and tailrace. The water availability used in the PLTM Bone-1 is 85.517 m3/s for two turbines. PLTM Bone-1 can generate power potential of 2 x 4.621 MW and the total profit reaches Rp 108,924,589,839.18 within one year. The planned construction cost of the PLTM Bone-1 is Rp 161,604,225,363.48.
