Summary:Cellular technology continues to evolve in fast pace. The latest iteration of cellular technology that is currently being deployed commercially is 5G. 5G has three main use-case, enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB), Massive Internet of Things (MIoT) and Mission Critical Services (MCS). While the eMBB is mostly to cater consumer (B2C) needs, MIoT and MCS combine with another 5G feature such as network slicing, making 5G perfect for enterprise. 5G will becoming enabler of Industry 4.0 and digital transformation the vertical industry. By deploying 5G, services provider finds the enterprise as the new segment to boost their revenue. Based on their annual report, Smartfren Telecom, part of Sinar Mas Group, has challenges on the profitability since its inception. While revenue is increasing, so does operating expenses and taxes. Smartfren Telecom has been looking to find new revenue source aside the usual consumer market which has price war over the year. Smartfren created Smartfren Business which will focus on the enterprise segment. By deploying 5G for enterprise, Smartfren Business find itself in the growing market with huge revenue potential. This final project exploring the strategy for Smartfren Business to win the enterprise 5G business. Based on the research made, the author found that Smartfren Business must focus their 5G deployment in the Sinar Mas Group company itself. To maximize the revenue potential, further synergy within Sinar Mas Group such as developing Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) offering, developing 5G ecosystem/partnership and expanding FO network for the group, should be pursued as well. Internally within Smartfren Telecom, author also recommend creating business pillar, exploring the new trend of micro-operator and OpenRAN. Last recommendation is about the human capital within Smartfren Telecom by creating 5G academy. This is to ensure that human capital within Smartfren Telecom able to keep up the fast pace of technology evolution.
