Summary: | Batu Ampar Port, Batam is one of the ports that is a container distribution channel. In 2029, this port is targeted to be able to accommodate container ships of 35.000 DWT. The ship has a draft of 11,9 meters. Meanwhile, the depth of the waters in this port is in the range of 5-12 meters. Therefore, it requires dredging the seabed to increase depth so that ships can sail and berth at Batu Ampar Port. The designed navigation channel has a width of 187 meters. The berthing area of the ship is 269 meters long and 39 meters wide. Meanwhile, the turning circle has a diameter of 429 meters. The seabed after calculation has a depth of 13,5 meters and a slope of 15° from the horizontal line. From the results of calculating the dredging volume using the cross section method, the dredging volume is 2.254.212,26 m3. The proceeds from the dredge material will be allocated to the reclamation area located in the north of Batu Ampar Port. The dredging will be carried out by 1 CSD Inai Delima ship with a work duration of 151 working days. This dredging work requires an estimated cost of Rp123.631.567.000,00 or around Rp55.000,00/m3.
