INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/67937 An excellent health care delivery is highly associated with good hospital asset management as it is detrimental to patient safety and satisfaction. Hospitals as community health centers aim to provide maximum operational services, which need assets as one of the most important components in addition to healthcare workers and medicine in health service facilities. Hospital assets need to be properly identified, managed, and maintained so that the conditions are always optimal. Especially medical devices that need expert maintenance to ensure their proper functioning which often involves external organization. However, with the number of assets in hospitals that could reach hundreds to thousands with different types, hospital management faces a lot of challenges in daily operational tasks from the aspect of asset productivity, security, and safety. In Indonesia, paper-based conventional asset management is commonly practiced by hospitals. This method is not effective for a large number of assets. To solve these, a hospital asset management system should be proposed. PT Nuansa Cerah Informasi as an information technology provider company that is mainly engaged in the healthcare industry, is facing a significant sales drop in its flagship hospital information system. To maintain the company's cash flow, PT Nuansa Cerah Informasi is shifting its focus on the development of new products. Asset management for hospitals is found to be one of the prospects that are in accordance with the company's portfolio in the healthcare industry and following the plan of Health Digital Transformation Strategy 2024 of Indonesia which aims to digitize healthcare at the national and regional levels. The current approach of conventional new product development at PT Nuansa Cerah Informasi has failed to acquire customers in a given timeframe because of the unmatched preference of customers towards the product. This study will use the Design Thinking approach to look at what Indonesian hospitals need regarding asset management systems and the Lean Startup methodology to get the desired product to customers' hands faster. Design Thinking in this research consists of empathizing, defining, and ideation. To get a better understanding of what customers need, Value Proposition Canvas will be used to determine the user pains, gains, and customer jobs and later can define the pain relievers and gain creators of the minimum viable product (MVP). Inability to report accurate asset information is found to be the biggest pain and transparency of asset data is found to be the most desired gain. Seven features are defined on the customer pains and gains that are built into the mockup MVP as the output of this study. The MVP is then demonstrated to the target customers to obtain feedback for further development of the hospital asset management system that could solve Indonesian hospitals problems in managing their asset. text |
