Description
Summary:Floods are natural disaster events where there is an excessive flow of water so that it can cover the lower land area and the land is submerged. One of the areas that occurred was the Cilaki-1B Minihydro Power Plant (PLTM), located in Cisewu District, Garut Regency, West Java Province. At the PLTM Cilaki-1B, there was a flood inundation from the powerhouse to the sewer, so the operation of the PLTM which should have been used was hampered. The occurrence of inundation is caused by the Cilaki River which produces a large river discharge and the occurrence of runoff from the Cilaki River to a height of 2.04 m from the water flood surface to the left bank of the riverbed. Therefore, a Flood Retaining Wall (DPB) was planned to overcome the flood problems that occurred at the PLTM Cilaki-1B. Hydrological analysis was carried out using the Synthesis Unit Hydrograph Method, namely SCS-CN with a 25-year return period of 759.42 m3/s. This final project is to perform hydraulic analysis to model the existing condition cross-section as well as simulation of the installation of Flood Retaining Walls (DPB).
