Description
Summary:The Revamping Pabrik Peleburan Project is one of the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects undertaken by PT X. In this project, PT X acts as an EPC contractor in collaboration with another company. In previous projects, it is not uncommon for costs to exceed plans or delays. This is due to the methods used in monitoring and evaluating project performance. In this study, two methods of monitoring and evaluating project performance are used which are expected to overcome the problems of costs that exceed plans and delays experienced by PT X, namely the Earned Value (EVM) method for the cost aspect and the Earned Duration (EDM) method for the schedule aspect. In EVM, the cost aspect is measured by the Cost Variance (CV) and Cost Performance Index (CPI) values obtained by comparing the actual progress earned (Earned Value) with the actual costs (Actual Cost) and the planned cost (Planned Value) for each period. In EDM, the schedule aspect is measured by the value of the Duration Performance Index (DPI) and the Earned Duration Index (EDI) which is obtained by comparing the value of the actual duration earned (Earned Value) with the actual duration (Actual Duration) and the planned duration (Planned Duration) for every period. The results obtained from EVM show a good project performance, where the project development obtained is greater than the plan and the actual cost is smaller than the plan. Based on the performance of the project, in the seventh month period, in June 2022, the project will be completed with approximately 42% of the total planned cost. The results obtained from the EDM show that the project performance is not good with the progress obtained is lower than the plan and the actual duration that exceeds the plan. Based on the performance results obtained in the seventh month period, the project will experience a delay of 62 days.
