The use of technology in everyday life cannot be excluded. From opening eyes when waking up to closing eyes to sleep again, today's human life has involved technological advances. People with disabilities are no exception. Technological progress has a more significant impact on them than on non-disabled audiences. The conveniences obtained from technological advances for people with disabilities are needed, primarily to support them at work. This study will focus on overcoming the problems in SMEs assisted by Dekranasda NTT, namely Cafe Inklusi (Kopisaa), where workers with disabilities with deaf friends experience communication problems with visitors who come. In obtaining solutions to these problems, a research process uses descriptive qualitative research methods deemed necessary with the characteristics of the existing problems. Supported by data analysis in the form of interviews, observation, brainstorming, and literature studies, the results of the data collected are processed using Design Thinking tools with five stages. Namely, Empathy, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. After the analysis, a solution was found to facilitate Cafe Inklusi (Kopisaa) employees with disabilities to communicate more effectively with customers using Augmented Reality technology in social media filters. The Instagram platform was chosen because of its features, free access, UI/UX supports, increasing awareness, and many active users. This research provides the main focus on how AR technology can play a role in helping overcome communication problems, increase awareness of employees with disabilities and sign language, as well as to help promote cafes where they work. text |

Technological advances in 2023 are experiencing rapid growth and increasing
changes. The use of technology in everyday life cannot be excluded. From
opening eyes when waking up to closing eyes to sleep again, today's human life
has involved technological advances. People with disabilities are no exception.
Technological progress has a more significant impact on them than on
non-disabled audiences. The conveniences obtained from technological advances
for people with disabilities are needed, primarily to support them at work. This
study will focus on overcoming the problems in SMEs assisted by Dekranasda
NTT, namely Cafe Inklusi (Kopisaa), where workers with disabilities with deaf
friends experience communication problems with visitors who come. In obtaining
solutions to these problems, a research process uses descriptive qualitative
research methods deemed necessary with the characteristics of the existing
problems. Supported by data analysis in the form of interviews, observation,
brainstorming, and literature studies, the results of the data collected are processed
using Design Thinking tools with five stages. Namely, Empathy, Define, Ideate,
Prototype, and Test.
After the analysis, a solution was found to facilitate Cafe Inklusi (Kopisaa)
employees with disabilities to communicate more effectively with customers
using Augmented Reality technology in social media filters. The Instagram
platform was chosen because of its features, free access, UI/UX supports,
increasing awareness, and many active users. This research provides the main
focus on how AR technology can play a role in helping overcome communication
problems, increase awareness of employees with disabilities and sign language, as
well as to help promote cafes where they work. |
