Description
Summary:The activity of moving excavated material from one place to another provides the cost of loading and transporting material that must be borne by the mining company. The cost of loading and transporting can be kept to a minimum by optimizing the number of transportation equipment used and options of the hauling process. PT XYZ is an andesite mine whose products will be used to build a dam. However, the route that must be taken by hauling equipment is quite far, namely 53,225 kilometers from mining front, so we need to find other alternatives to minimize the hauling costs. In this research, the optimization of hauling process will be carried out with the intermediate stockpile on the hauling road and mining equipment changes. The method used in this research is optimization using the Simplex LP Linear Program. In this case, we used the data from the Liebherr R9250, Komatsu PC2000-8, Komatsu WA900-3 loading equipment and the Komatsu HD785 and DPRT Scania R580 Cap. 330 m3 hauling equipment to process the data. There are two scenarios of hauling process and different mining equipment were used, with the aim of producing the lowest loading and transportation costs while still paying attention to achieve the ideal match factor value. In scenario 1, the combination of loading and hauling equipment in the form of 4 units backhoe Komatsu PC2000-8 and 120 units DPRT Scania R580 Cap. 330 m3 compared with 4 units backhoe Liebherr R9250 and 220 units dump truck Komatsu HD785. In scenario 2, the combination of loading and hauling equipment changed in the form of 2 units backhoe Komatsu PC2000-8, 2 units wheel loader Komatsu WA900-3 and 100 units DPRT Scania R580 Cap. 330 m3 compared with 160 units dump truck Komatsu HD785 with intermediate stockpile alternative. The results of the analysis show that the 2nd scenario is the best scenario with the cheapest loading and transportation costs, which is Rp1.727.055.376 or Rp24.542 per m3..
