A journey to world class performance always has an obstacles and challenges, therefore, collaboration from all management level including stakeholder needs to be created. The quality management model of Malcolm Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence (MBCfPE) has concept and procedure to help companies evaluating quality improvement efforts. Using performance assessment model from MBCfPE, PT. XYZ is able to see the achieveness level in the company towards a world class company.<p> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Development of pre-assessment model using Baldrige criteria for state owned company is expected to help creating a figure of how far the company's willingness to compete in Indonesian Quality Award for BUMN.<p> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> This pre-assessment model is adopted from Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, with PT. XYZ management as the respondent. From the assessment based on MBCfPE, performance of PT. XYZ has good score of 549,06. This number shows that the company has good quality in design working system systematically and effectiveness, no gap problem inside the organization activity. However, to achieve world class company status, PT. XYZ still needs to improve comprehensively and maintain sustainability for continuous improvement.<p> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> From the pre-assessment made, it is expected that the company who applying this model is able to create goals and target to improve the performance company from Baldrige category that is still lacking in quality score. Furthermore, this pre-assessment model is expected to be used by many companies from different business sector, healthcare, and education.
