Based on discussions held with the website administrators, LPPM has long-term plans to further develop the website to integrate it with other systems related to academics and human resources. No evaluation has been conducted on the existing system to identify user issues when using the website. A preliminary study revealed that 55% of users encounter the same problems related to website usage. Research study was conducted to evaluate the Myppm ITB website by identifying issues and obtaining user assessments through a usability approach, with the aim of proposing improvements to the website's user interface. The research was conducted using usability testing techniques, where participants were asked to interact with the Myppm ITB website and perform four task scenarios representing four features of the website. Measurements were taken during the task scenarios to assess various usability dimensions, including effectiveness (task success and errors), efficiency (task completion time), and user satisfaction (Questionnaire for User Interface Satisfaction). Additionally, a usability inquiry technique called Retrospective Think-Aloud was employed to gather information on problems encountered by participants during task completion. The study involved 12 participants divided into two groups: non-beginner participants (professors who have used Myppm ITB before) and beginner participants (professors who have not used Myppm ITB before). The research findings indicate poor effectiveness in the research proposal feature, as evidenced by a low task success rate (<70%) and a high frequency of errors. It was also observed that all four features exhibited good efficiency, as there were no significant differences in task completion times between participant groups. The user satisfaction questionnaire revealed low ratings for screen characteristics, overall response, as well as terminology and system information. Based on the identified issues, a total of 32 usability problems were prioritized for improvement, including terminology, feedback, system status, information organization, contrast and layout design, and input requests. The study resulted in 27 proposed improvements, including enhancements to page layouts, icon terminology, input requests, information organization, error notifications and confirmations, and system status. These proposed improvements were validated with problem users and the website's customers, and they were accepted and well-received by both the administrators and users of the website. As a follow-up to the research findings, the website administrators need to conduct a feasibility study to assess the implementation of the proposed interface enhancements considering the limitations and capabilities of the existing framework. text
