According to data from the BPS in 2019, the Province of Bali Bali has 580 thousand disabled people spread across the island of Bali with the Blind in most cases. In addition, the standards for inclusive education in special schools in Bali have not been met, making inclusive education in Bali increasingly lagging behind. Therefore, an appropriate forum or place is needed to accommodate persons with disabilities whose education has not been appropriately fulfilled in the City of Denpasar by proposing the Planning and Design of Special Schools (SLB) in the City of Denpasar, Bali. Elementary school is taken as a design case study to respond to the need for disabilities to be able to adapt in future life where the curriculum is felt to accommodate these needs. The data collection method used is a literature study method with journals related to research, field observations with direct observations of the planning location, and survey methods by visiting related parties to obtain robust data. The approach applied in this design is the Five Sense approach which supports the needs of students, many of whom still do not use their four senses to the fullest. With a design concept that focuses on maximizing the senses, it is expected that the students of SLBN Denpasar can be a trigger for other students to obtain a more optimal learning experience.. In addition, many traditional approaches will also be applied to design in order to respond to design locations that have a strong image and also not to forget the identity of Balinese culture itself. The application of appropriate building standards is also of particular concern in this design where these standards can have a huge impact on students and teachers who will be users of the design, with the hope that all these standards can help students' learning activities become easier and more enjoyable. and teaching activities of teachers become easier. text |
