Summary: | The Transmedia industry grew vary rapidly from the end of 2010 to 2019. One of the most
rapidly growing sectors of transmedia is the gaming industry. In 2017 in Indonesia alone,
the Indonesian game industry had a market value of $879 billion and is predicted to
continue to grow every year. In 2015, the creative economy sector in Indonesia becomes
an emerging potential economy because of its commodity which produces GDP of IDR
852 trillion. With the support of Kemenparekraf, a government institution that specifically
developed the creative economy of Indonesia, companies like Oray Studios have the chance
to thrive in an increasingly dynamic landscape. However, selling the creative industry of
Indonesia prove to be a tough sell to all parties that are involved. Oray Studios was a studio
that provide services for three of the fastest growing subsectors among 16 other subsectors,
which is visual communication design, application and game developer. This research
produced an action plan for Oray Studios based on a close observation of the author.
Revenue that were not achieve the target becomes the main problem of Oray Studios that
must be immediately solved. This research produced the several action plan for Oray
Studios business issues. The used of qualitative methods, conducted interviews and
collected data directly from the source is used to complete the thesis. This research contain
an analysis of business situation that includes Internal Analysis, External Analysis,
Marketing Mix, Competitor Analysis, Root Cause Analysis. But there were thing to be
improved about promotion, product and marketing. Fishbone diagram is used as root cause
analysis was created to know all the problem faced. The final stage was to plan the
implementation of action plan that have been made before. Consists of determining the
time line until 2024, person in charge for alternative strategy steps and estimated cost of
the company around one hundred and sixty million Rupiah to implement the action plan.
In addition, resources such as financial, technology, innovation and reputation should be
develop to support the action plan. Action plan that have been made were expected to be a
solution for the problems. |
