One crucial aspect that needs attention is water management. TGL Pond responsible for handling runoff water in the East Zone of the mine. To ensure succes of water management in the East Zone, calculations of the generated water volume and an assessment of the planned drainage facility's capacity are carried out. Data from the RF-05 rainfall station from 2003 to 2022 are used in the analysis with a weekly time range. This data is used to determine the planned rainfall by applying distribution fit analysis and utilizing the cumulative distribution function method. The research results indicate that the water discharge resulting from the mining activities according to PT XYZ’s mining plan will vary in the East Zone until the year 2025, with the highest water volume expected in 2023. Simulation results also show that under the existing conditions, the likelihood of overflow (flood) occurrence reaches 24.04% annually, significantly exceeding the company's targets of 6% maximum and 2% expected values. Consequently, the recommended water management strategy in the East Zone includes enhancing the outflow of TGL Pond and reducing the inflow that the TGL Pond must handle. Specific recommendations entail adding 2 pumps to the TGL Pond and 2 pumps to the TGL WTPP with the appropriate capacity to address the existing overflow probability, which is at 1.92%. text
