Description
Summary:In the dynamic global beauty sector, technological advancements have fostered accessibility and concurrently foster a heightened recognition of the significance of self-care. Given the favorable prospects in the industry realm, the intensity of rivalry is escalating. As competition intensifies, many emerging beauty brands in Indonesia seek to distinguish themselves through innovative packaging strategies. While companies embrace packaging as a modern marketing tool and take responsibility for the environment through recycling facilities. Nevertheless, this sustainable waste management initiative has not been fully optimized. Hence, the primary objective of this study is to investigate the prevailing current behaviour of waste packaging behavior and identify the obstacles that hinder efforts to address these difficulties in the context of Indonesia. The chosen methodology entails a mixed methods approach, incorporating exploratory research that will be triangulated by using descriptive research. The analysis yielded a total of ten distinct behaviors, primarily centered around the act of collecting. Additionally, five barriers were identified, with the main barrier being the lack of knowledge and information. Furthermore, the study identifies three expectations that can facilitate the adoption of sustainable waste practices, namely the provision of rewards, free shipping services, and the implementation of a dispersed system for separate waste bins management
