An empirical study conducted in Indonesia highlighted the shift towards sustainable and ethical practices in the fashion industry. However, challenges are faced due to the dominance of fast fashion and its associated waste. A theoretical framework was developed to address this, and qualitative research was conducted through interviews with slow fashion companies in Indonesia. The companies included Sejauh Mata Memandang, Less Temporal, Njonjah Poenja, and Sew In Style, providing diverse perspectives. Thematic coding was employed to analyze the interview data, ensuring consistency and accuracy where it is then transcribed verbatim. The researcher's conclusions offered insights into the supply chain management strategies, challenges, and advantages in Indonesia's slow fashion industry. The findings indicated that contemporary supply chain management practices emphasized collaboration, transparency, and sustainability principles. However, challenges such as limited resources, inadequate knowledge and education, and resistance to change were identified as major obstacles to effective supply chain management implementation. Previous studies have looked at consumer behavior in fast fashion, the impacts of slow fashion, and the environmental consequences of rapid fashion. However, there is limited research on supply chain management in the Indonesian slow fashion industry. This study solves the knowledge vacuum by speaking with slow fashion businesses in Indonesia to learn directly about their supply chain management strategies. Also provides the examination of the prevalent supply chain management methods in the Indonesian slow fashion market, showing difficulties faced and benefits on effective supply chain management strategies. text
