In Sari Pandan (food and beverage company) case, the company could not reach profit target, because company’s capacity could not fill the potential demand in market. Therefore, the owner must construct proper capacity plan to reach company target. Proper capacity plan requires clear data about company current capacity and demand expectation in the market. After collecting those both data, the researcher can construct capacity plan and strategy to match the company capacity with demand expectation. Demand expectation requires population data and interview with target market in potential selling location of Sari Pandan. Company capacity data was collected through production activity observation. The researcher was interviewing practitioner in food and beverage business who already have profit more than Rp 20.000.000/month to construct marketing and sales strategy. Market survey is showing target market of Sari Pandan willing to buy Sari Pandan product. Based on expected value calculation, demand for Central Cimahi is 31 people/day, North Cimahi is 32 people/day, and Ngamprah is 31 people/day. With profit 50% or Rp 4.000/cup, Sari Pandan must sell the product 5.000 cups/month or 167 cups/day to reach company profit target. Build upon benchmarking result, implementing marketing mix strategy will be increasing sales 3,5%. Those target can be reached by improve capacity into 8 labours, 8 stoves, 4 mixers, and 4 dishwashers. text |
