Summary: | The development of robots today is quite significant, especially in the manufacturing
industri. One of the robots used in the industrial field is the robot arm. Arm robots function
to facilitate work in the product manufacturing process. Arm robots can replace work that is
dangerous for humans so as to increase the level of work safety.
In this final project, an experiment was carried out on the Milling Machining process
using the Motoman SIA 10D Arm Robot and a spindle motor that was already installed on
the end effector. Control of the Motoman SIA 10D Arm Robot can be done using a computer.
In order for the arm robot to be able to move according to the desired machining process, the
design of the test object and the determination of the CAM process are required. The creation
and determination of the CAM process is assisted by Fusion 360. After the CAM
determination process is complete, the resulting tool path file is entered into RoboDK and
simulated according to the arm robot used. After the simulation is complete, the programming
code for the arm robot can be generated. The robot can move according to the CAM process
that has been determined using the programming code that has been created.
The test specimen design used is a design that has a simple shape, namely a circle and a
square. The test piece material used is POM material. The Motoman SIA 10D Arm Robot
successfully cut the test piece in accordance with the design of the test piece made. The results
of cutting the test piece obtained a fairly flat surface of the test piece in several parts. |
