Description
Summary:This research delves into the critical role of digital transformation in automotive repair workshops, a sector grappling with the increasing demands of technological advancements and efficiency. At its core, this study seeks to understand the challenges faced by these workshops in adopting new technologies and how this adoption impacts decision-making and operational efficiency. The research begins with an internal analysis of the workshops, assessing their current technological readiness, resources, and core competencies. It employs a mixed-method approach, combining qualitative and quantitative research methods. Qualitative data is gathered through in-depth interviews and observations to gain insights into stakeholder perceptions and experiences. Quantitatively, a carefully designed questionnaire is distributed to collect measurable data, analyzing the relationship between digital transformation and decision-making efficacy. The study explores three digital transformation strategies: Fully Digital, Gradual, and Hybrid Approaches. Each strategy is dissected to understand its advantages and disadvantages, providing a comprehensive view of how businesses can navigate their digital transformation journey effectively. The research underscores the importance of a tailored approach, aligning the chosen strategy with the specific needs and context of the business. Key elements such as initial investment, ongoing expenses, usability, return on investment, and technical support are examined. For automotive repair workshops, the research proposes a detailed roadmap to digital transformation. This includes assessing current digital maturity, setting a clear vision and strategy, updating infrastructure and systems, re-engineering processes, developing digital skills, implementing digital tools, engaging customers digitally, monitoring and adjusting strategies, creating a digital culture, ensuring compliance and security, and scaling and expanding digital initiatives. The study highlights the pivotal role of leadership in steering digital transformation and the need for continuous evaluation against key performance indicators. It also addresses the challenges of change management and the importance of creating a culture that embraces digital innovation. The findings of this research aim to provide actionable insights for automotive repair workshops, enabling them to harness the power of digital transformation to improve efficiency, decision-making, and overall competitiveness in a rapidly evolving industry.
