Summary: | The cashless trend has replaced conventional payment methods and become a daily
necessity. Behind every convenience technology development, there is a design
process in it. Every design decision always brings possible sustainable impacts.
The acceleration of digital transformation has implications and creates new
problems for society. Covers impulsive buying behavior, the rise of fraud to the
online lending phenomenon. This research tries to identify and map elements of
design interventions in influencing users' decisions and behavior to use Paylater.
Through a combination of online ethnography data, surveys, and interviews as a
basis for analyzing various aspects of design interventions in influencing users'
decisions to use Paylater services. This paper extends research related to applying
a behavioral design in the development process that helps identify which stages are
effective, thereby strengthening the design and mitigating or minimizing the risk in
user interaction. Discovered that changes in interactions with objects can also
change and form new behaviors, and counter conditions to systems environments,
and lifestyles. Research findings conduct design strategy gap for integrating user
needs and adjustments in the stage of behavior change in navigating Paylater
services at marketplace.
