Summary: | The Java 9&10 2x1000MW Cilegon Steam Power Plant (PLTU) Project is one of the
National Strategic projects and the largest in Indonesia now. During the construction of
this PLTU there is a Coal Shed building, which is used as a storage place for coal in
quantities of tens of thousands of tonnages. The area of the Coal Shed building, if used
as an analogy, is the size of 4 football fields, so appropriate design and implementation
methods are needed because they greatly influence the achievement of the Project
Milestone. Therefore, an in-depth analysis is needed by considering all variables that
influence the determination of construction methods. One method that can be applied to
assist in making appropriate construction method decisions is the Analytical Hierarchy
Process (AHP) method. This method could develop a priority scale (as a weighting factor)
from complex variables and is easy to apply, so this method can be used as a tool for
decision making in determining the appropriate construction method. Data collection
was carried out through questionnaires and in-depth interviews with respondents who
have expertise (good knowledge, experience, and skills in preparing construction
methods). The research results show that the AHP method can be structured as a
decision-making system for determining the appropriate construction method for Coal
Shed work. The priority weights resulting from AHP can be used as parameters to
determine the value of decisions on determining construction methods based on the
availability of resources owned by the project. |
