INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/85797 This study addresses the challenge faced by Sassle, a pioneering hair care brand in Indonesia, in selecting the most suitable packaging supplier. As Sassle aims to enhance its product quality, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery, the need to identify a reliable supplier becomes critical. Currently, the brand experiences issues with its existing packaging, including leakage and high costs, prompting the search for a new supplier among three shortlisted candidates. To tackle this problem, the study utilizes the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, a structured decision-making tool, to evaluate the three potential suppliers: Shijiazhuang Lechan Packaging Co., Ltd. (SLP), Guangzhou Panyuepacking Co., Ltd. (GPC), and Hebei Wogu Trading Co., Ltd. (HWT). The evaluation is based on five key criteria: supplier relations, quality, cost, service, and delivery. These criteria were validated and prioritized through Focus Group Discussions (FGD) involving Sassle’s C-level executives. The analysis using AHP revealed that Hebei Wogu Trading Co., Ltd. (HWT) emerged as the most suitable supplier, scoring the highest across the criteria with a final score of 2.87. HWT’s performance in terms of quality, cost efficiency, and reliable delivery met Sassle’s stringent requirements. The findings of this study support Sassle’s decision-making process, ensuring alignment with the brand's operational goals, ultimately leading to improved product quality, reduced costs, and timely product delivery. text
