Summary: | Digital collaborative learning presents challenges in designing activities, task
sequences, and user motivation in a measurable manner to achieve optimal
learning outcomes. This study aims to integrate gamification elements into the
design of digital collaborative tasks to enhance learner motivation and
participation. The implementation was carried out on an Indonesian writing
learning application, JagoEYD, through the development of mobile-based features,
including group discussions and team-based quizzes. The testing involved 45
respondents in the experimental group and 32 respondents in the control group.
Reaction evaluation using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) questionnaire
demonstrated positive and significant relationships among perceived ease of use,
perceived usefulness, and attitudes toward the application. Knowledge evaluation
revealed a positive difference between the experimental and control groups, though
not statistically significant. However, users with lower initial knowledge levels
showed significant improvement. Participation evaluation indicated that
interactions within the experimental group consistently increased compared to the
control group. These findings affirm that integrating gamification into digital
collaborative learning can effectively boost learner motivation and participation.
The study contributes to the development of more effective technology-based
learning designs. |
