Description
Summary:The aim of research is to produce high protein and low fat meat of male broiler which giving Moringa leaf powder (Moringa oleifera) as substituents in commercial feed. The material used were 20 male broilers DOC (day old chick) aged 21-35 days CP 707 strain from PT. Charoen Pokphand. Research using CRD (completely randomized design) with 4 treatments and 5 replications. Each experimental unit consisted of 5 male broilers. Treatments were P0: (control diet), P1: (95% commercial feed + 5% Moringa Leaf Powder), P2: (90% commercial feed + 10% Moringa Leaf Powder), P3: (85% commercial feed + 15% Moringa Leaf Powder). Parameters measured in this research were protein and fat in broiler meats. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and continued using Duncan test. The results showed that giving Moringa leaf powder as substituents in commercial feed were significant effect (p<0.05) to increasing protein meat (%) seen that P1: 20.02166; P2: 19.87110 and P3: 19.99622 increased from P0: 19.37132. The significant effect (p<0.05) to decreasing fat meat (%) seen that P1: 1.23532; P2: 1.30756 and P3: 1.13550 decreased from P0: 1.50284.
