Description
Summary:This study aims is to reduce the cost of commercial feed that expensive and to determine the effect of substitution of commercial feed using fermented banana peel flour (Musa paradisiaca Linn) and fish meal to increase the weight and percentage of broiler chicken carcass. Experimental animal was used in the study were 20 male broiler chicks aged 14 days. This study consisted of 4 treatments with 5 repetitions on each treatment. The experimental feed contains a mixture of fermented banana peel flour (Musa paradisiaca Linn) and fish meal at levels of 0% (P0), 5% (P1), 10% (P2), 15% (P3). The implementation of the study was conducted after broiler aged 14 days until aged 35 days. Statistical data of the research were analyzed using Analysis of Variances ANOVA (P>0,05) that stated substitution of fermented banana feel flour and fish meal to 15 % did not show any significant difference to weight gain and percentage of chicken carcass broiler. This is because substitution feed has protein content equivalent to commercial feed.
