Arif Rokhman, DRS., M.Hum. ETD Books and novels which have been translated from English into Indonesian are now easily found. Here, translation has important role. However, translating is not an easy task, because some problem may arise, such as translating collocation which may have different form and meaning in Indonesian. Inaccuracy could bring unacceptability for the readers because the message is not properly transferred. Thus, translation strategies are needed to make a good translation. This study analyzes collocations and the translation strategies used to translate them in The Hunger Games into Indonesian. The researcher assesses the accuracy and acceptability of the translation. Thirdly, this study tries to find out the relation between translation strategies applied with their accuracy and acceptability. In this study, combination of library and empirical methods is used. Library research is done to find out the strategies applied in translating collocation found in The Hunger Games. The empirical method is used to find out the accuracy and acceptability of the translation by distributing questionnaires. As the result of this study, there are seven types of collocation of Benson and Ilson which are found in the novel. Seven of nine translation strategies by Suryawinata are used in the translation. The highest occurrences are Cultural Equivalent (14 times from total 34 translation items analyzed). And based on Accuracy Rating theory from Nababan, the researcher finds that the translation from The Hunger Games, written by Suzanne Collins, into The Hunger Games, translated by Hetih Rusli, is a Less Accurate and Acceptable translation. It is due to the accuracy score of 1.70, and acceptability score of 1.10. From the strategies, Omission has the best score in accuracy while Borrowing has the best score in acceptability. But, considering the frequency of occurrence, cultural equivalence is the best strategy to translate collocation.
