The clay soil depth is 30 m. The problem appears when the tidal river water for PLTU area is flooded. Therefore, soil elevation should be increased and need construction of slope protection. This study aims to determine what is the construction type of slope protection for stability improving. The construction of slope protection is choosen and adjusted with the condition of soil where the bearing capacity and shear strength are low. In this study, rip-rap with thickness of 0,3 m is choosen to set up in the surface of 2H: 1V slope and 4 m wooden pile is combinated under the rip-rap. The construction design was done by manual and the result was simulated with Plaxis software. The result of design shows that use of wooden pile construction under the rip-rap with space 0,5 m between the pile can supports the load of rip-rap rocks. The analysis of slope stability with slope/W show that construction of slope protection using rip rap has safety factor (SF)= 0,664 and the construction of slope protection using rip-rap and wooden pile has safety factor (SF)= 1,604. The result of manual calculation shows 36,561 cm for construction settlement. Global analysis is done by Plaxis program.
