Description
Summary:The study was made in order to check if there is a relationship between the retail layout and the customer preference of supermarkets in the Philippines. The statistical analysis on a survey of 436shoppers of supermarkets in Metro Manila showed that there is no evidence that there is a relationship between retail layout and customer preference. The report evaluates and concludes that it is the price of the product, distance of the supermarket from the residence, and the variety of brands of the products sold in the supermarket affects the customer preference more than the retail layout design. The study conducted is limited in terms of the length of time devoted for the research and the financial and logistical limitations of the researchers. In the future, it is recommended that the sample design be refined to fully encapsulate the behavior of the shoppers and make it a nationwide study. It is also recommended that the scope of the variables be widened by increasing its number and quality.
