Description
Summary:The main objective of this project thesis entitled Correlation of Equation Using the Experimental Data From Viscosity, Thermal Conductivity and Density of Crude Coconut Oil is to provide a mathematical model which will fit the physical properties of CNO at various temperatures.Crude coconut oil analysis is very important. Incoming oil quality determines the necessary processing and is a good indication of the treatment it will require. This is especially true now that the physical refining is becoming more common in our industry. The Saybolt Viscosimeter is the apparatus to be used to determine the viscosity, Westphal balance is for the density and a fabricated experimental apparatus based on Stephen Whitataker's procedure of heat conduction is for the thermal conductivity of CNO. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) will be used for the analysis of the experimental data that will be obtained. The crude coconut oil that will be used is from the Southern Integrated Oil Mill Incorporated. Its standard specifications is from the Philippine Coconut Authority and the Department of Trade and Industry.
