This study aimed to identify and describe the perceived level of work-life balance of BPO employees in Metro Manila and its association with their family characteristics and work-related characteristics. In addition, it aimed to determine the relationship between the perceived level of work-life balance and their health conditions. More so, it sought to determine the association between their health condition and their health management and support systems. Quantitative research method was used, with descriptive research as the design of the study. The study utilized the survey method, using a self-administered questionnaire among purposively one hundred BPO shift Workers. It was concluded that family characteristics, specifically the number of children, significantly affects the perceived level of work-life balance of BPO shift workers, which implies that the increase in the number of children significantly increases their family-orientedness. In addition, it was revealed that the number of members in the household affects their personal well-being, from which it can be inferred that the increase in the number of members living in the respondents households leads to an increase in the amount of time the respondents have for themselves. The overall health conditions of BPO shift workers also significantly affect their employee interaction, as well as their overall perceived level of work-life balance, which implies that the increase in the overall perceived level of work-life balance and/or employee interaction results in the decrease in their health conditions and vice versa. Lastly, the overall health conditions of the shift workers have a significant relationship with their individual health strategies, which suggests that the increase in health conditions would consequently lead to the increase in the need for individual health management strategies. 2017-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/2925 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Work-life balance Call center agents-- Philipppines Contracting out--Philippines Social and Behavioral Sciences
