Description
Summary:The main objective of this project is to provide a demand-based automatic shifting system for automobiles. The DASS automatically shifts gears and engages/disengages the clutch of a manual transmission automobile based on demand. This is accomplished with the use of an electro-mechanical system controlled by a microcontroller. The shifting algorithm is determined by throttle position (varying driver's demand for acceleration), road speed, and engine state (engine's revolution per minute). unlike other transmission system DASS combines the rigidity of a clutch system in a manual transmission for better energy transmission and the convenience of automatic shifting.
