Schwartz's theory on Basic human values was used to explain the relationship of Asian values and Epistemological beliefs on valuing education. To accomplish the goal of the study, 563 Asian students with a mean age of 18.93 were tasked to complete three measures. The Asian Values Scale-R, Epistemological Beliefs Questionnaire and the Identification with School questionnaire. A stepwise forward Multiple Regression was used as the main analysis in the study. Findings from this study indicate that while Asian values can significantly predict valuing of education, epistemological beliefs do not.
