This research focused on homeschooling as an educative journey, responding to learners realities in private, Christian/Catholic-based homeschooling institutions in the Philippines. It used the grounded theory approach to evolve a theory based on in-depth interviews and systematic analysis of data. The emerged theory showed homeschooling as an educative journey with five stages: deciding, adjusting, nurturing, maturing, and releasing. The approach also surfaced three contributing variables: focus, flexibility and strategies. The main story focuses on the homeschooled children, the transformation that they experience, together with their community of learners, the family and the homeschooling environment and the nation. It is a story of the mind, heart and soul of the stakeholders of this experience, challenging, yet fulfilling. 2013-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_doctoral/364 Dissertations English Animo Repository
