This paper analyzes the present conditions of the footwear retail franchise industry by identifying its major players, economic characteristics and opportunities and threats. The analysis makes use of the five forces model to assess competitive rivalry within the industry. This paper also analyses the present condition of LDFC in terms of its strengths and weakness identifying its present strategies and strategic issues.
