The findings show how Chinese students understood cooperative learning in three private schools. Five major categories emerged from the analytical process. Five major categories are: collaborative learning process, interaction in learning process, accountability for the learning process, interpersonal and communication skills and challenge experienced. An implication for schools is for the teachers to professionally guide students in the process of cooperative learning.
