These processes were formerly done without specific guidelines and allowed the employees to overlap in their roles. The objective of this research project is to improve operations of a family business through the organization of employee roles and the creation of Inventory and Purchasing process. To resolve the identified issues, I, as the insider action researcher, collaborated with key individuals within our company such as the Proprietor, Production Manager, selected sewers, and Inventory Personnel. Our team conducted two action research cycles following Coghlan and Brannicks spiral of construction, planning, taking action, and evaluation stages. I used several frameworks and tools, which include, among others, ORJI model, Ladder of Inference, Three Types of Inquiry. For the conceptual framework, we used the Just in Time principle as it deals with the elimination of wastes and smoothing out operations flow by conceptualizing the most efficient process. The self reflections and learnings generated through this research allowed me to fulfill my role as a La Sallian MBA student by becoming a good steward of change in my company, as it also enhanced my entrepreneurial skills to contribute better to our society. 2018-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/5577 Master's Theses English Animo Repository Business enterprises Family-owned business enterprises Personnel management |
