The quantitative method used descriptive-correlational and the qualitative method used interview that was conducted to investigate the relationship among organizational commitment, workplace spirituality and teaching performance in three selected private secondary schools in the Philippines, using Workplace Spirituality Survey Measure, (TCM) Employee Commitment Survey, Evaluation sheet for Classroom Instructional and Interview Guide to gather the data. Pearson Product Moment, Multiple Regression and content analysis were used to analyze the data. The study revealed that the teachers’ organizational commitment was significantly correlated with both teaching performance and workplace spirituality. However, workplace spirituality did not correlate significantly with teaching performance hence, workplace spirituality did not strengthen the relationship between organizational commitment and teaching performance. Qualitative data from interviews with the teachers revealed that workplace spirituality was perceived to influence their teaching performance such that they committed to their teaching through more selfless service to their students and work competence. The results also showed that the teachers viewed workplace spirituality in terms of faith-based pattern relation with God, sense of community, professional competence and transcendence. It is recommended that the selected private secondary schools provide workplace spirituality programs to their teachers and further studies be conducted to widen the scope and depth of knowledge in their research area. 2010-07-01T07:00:00Z text application/pdf https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_masteral/6506 https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/context/etd_masteral/article/12830/viewcontent/CDTG004843_P.pdf Master's Theses English Animo Repository Organizational commitment Spirituality Effective Teachers—Rating of Educational Administration and Supervision Educational Leadership
