This study assesses the effectiveness of the program for the gifted in the Philippine High School for the Arts using four components: context, input, process, and product/output (CIPP). For each component, several variables were considered. Variables considered for the context component were the rationale, description and key features of the gifted program, and the program of expectation of the students and faculty in the general education and the arts. The input component of the program included the profiles of the gifted students and the faculty in the general education and the arts the programs, goals, and objectives of the school the selection criteria for the gifted students and the student services provided by the school. For the process component, the variables examined were curriculum design, activities and program of the school implemented to achieve the goals, and the program's effectiveness. To find out the effectiveness of the product/output component the following indicators were used: attainment of objectives number of graduates finishing the program and perceptions of the students and personnel regarding the gifted program's quality.Data were gathered through secondary data, survey questionnaires distributed to students and faculty, and interviews with selected students, alumni, and school administrators. The program areas which received high rating in terms of effectiveness were arts curriculum, instruction, and faculty performance. The faculty received notable marks on the quality of instruction, performance, and courses in the general education and the arts. The students perceived the gifted program as satisfactory, specially in the areas of art courses and objectives, quality of instruction in the arts, faculty performance, art class activities, mission and vision of the school, and the students' access to all forms of instructional materials. In general, the students and faculty perceived the overall performance of the program as satisfactory.
