Transformational leadership and employee engagement have been widely studied but little attention has been given to the perception of the employee on their supervisor’s leadership style. There are also a number of studies on personality traits and its effect on the level of engagement of an employee. This paper looks at the perceived transformational leadership and self reported employee engagement and extraversion of employees. The paper argues that extraversion moderates the relationship of transformational leadership and employee engagement. Leader Member Exchange (LMX) says that high quality exchange is positively related to employee engagement and employees display extraversion to build that high quality relationship. Data obtained from 229 employees revealed that transformational leadership and employee engagement have a positive relationship. Results of this study show that extraversion does not moderate the relationship between transformational leadership and employee engagement. 2021-01-01T08:00:00Z text application/pdf https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etdm_psych/6 https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1000&context=etdm_psych Psychology Master's Theses English Animo Repository Transformational leadership Extraversion Employees Leadership Industrial and Organizational Psychology Psychology
