The current study focuses on the mediating effect of organizational trust on the relationship between corporate social responsibility and employee engagement. A sample of bank employees (N=200) completed the Corporate Social Responsibility Scale, Utrecht Work Engagement Scale - Short Version, and Organizational Trust Inventory - Short Form. Results showed that corporate social responsibility and organizational trust are both correlated with employee engagement. Mediational analysis revealed that organizational trust partially mediated the relationship between corporate social responsibility and employee engagement. Future studies can look into additional factors that companies focus on such as job satisfaction, turnover, and mental health. Additionally, future researchers could review the applicability of the scales used in the context of post-pandemic. Moreover, researchers could also explore looking into more specific parts of trust: interpersonal and non-individual trust. Furthermore, future researchers could study implementing an experimental study of CSR, direct testing of the communal relationship of employees and the company, replicating the current study and including other industries as respondents to see the trend of results. 2021-12-14T08:00:00Z text application/pdf https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etdm_psych/26 https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1024&context=etdm_psych Psychology Master's Theses English Animo Repository Social responsibility of business Psychology |
