This paper intends to explore the effects of online training on teacher competence to serve as basis for developing an effective web-based teacher training model appropriate for developing countries, particularly the Philippines. Results of a month-long, full online training involving nine participants showed substantial modification in two knowledge-based pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) components. But, limited improvement was observed in the two skill-related PCK components. The findings indicate that in meeting the challenges to improve PCK, a blended online training model - the Triad Teacher Training Model (T3M) - is advisable. The T3M adopts a triad of physics education experts, instructional resources and delivery approaches. 2008-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/faculty_research/9116 Faculty Research Work Animo Repository Teachers—Training of Teacher Education and Professional Development
