This study aims to develop and validate a scale to measure students' attitudes toward EPSL by integrating findings from learning attitude research in education and psychology. The results demonstrate that the attitude scale can predict attitudes towards EPSL in the context of a Chinese university and has good reliability and validity (KMO=0.892, α=0.749). Pedagogical suggestions are made to help students develop a more positive attitude toward EPSL. 2023-12-01T08:00:00Z text application/pdf https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/jeal/vol2/iss2/6 info:doi/10.59588/2961-3094.1061 https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/context/jeal/article/1061/viewcontent/6_Zeng_et_al_revised.pdf https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/context/jeal/article/1061/filename/0/type/additional/viewcontent/3_AUTHOR_s_response_form_2023.10.12.docx https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/context/jeal/article/1061/filename/1/type/additional/viewcontent/6_Jie_Zeng_for_Copyediting___with_edits__comments_accepted_and_revised.docx Journal of English and Applied Linguistics Animo Repository attitude scale EFL; English phonetic symbols learning Chinese university Applied Linguistics Psycholinguistics and Neurolinguistics |
