Effect of deregulation on banking efficiency : a cross country analysis.
This paper examines the pre- and post-deregulation banking cost efficiency of Southeast Asian local commercial banks. Due to a lack of research for SEA countries, the main objective of our paper is to determine the effect of liberalising the banking sector on cost efficiency.
