Description
Summary:Digital Holography has introduced a new revolution to the field of holography. Despite the shortcoming of low resolution of the CCD camera in comparison to the photographic film, the ability to instantaneously observe the hologram quality and the ability to pre-process the hologram before numerical reconstruction has made DH a valuable tool in imaging, microscopy and measurement. In this paper, following a brief introduction to digital holography, it’s application to imaging; microscopy and measurement will be highlighted. The proposal is to develop a Holomicroscope as a complement to existing microscope to enhance 3-D dynamic visualization and measurement capability lacking in current microscopes.
